Derrick, Lisu and the children may be eligible for various statutory grants and allowances due to his disability. Each of these is described below. Their aggregate effect needs to be considered under Financial Plans, due to their interaction with other sources of  income and capital.

 

1.         Disability Facilities Grant

            We must look at this first, because any grant application must be made before work starts to adapt or build facilities which will enable Derrick to live independently. For details, see Disability Facilities Grant.

 

2.         Disability Living Allowance
